Reports from rural Elkhorn in the late 1980s gave Wisconsin a modern wolf-like cryptid legend called the Beast of Bray Road.

PBS Wisconsin traced how a cluster of reports became part of Elkhorn's identity, while the Wisconsin Historical Society now includes the Beast in its state cryptid storytelling. This pin stays downtown, away from the rural road.
Bray Road is an active rural road bordered by homes and private land. Do not cruise slowly, stop on shoulders, trespass, or disturb residents.
