Where a place requires a licensed operator, a ticket, or a stay, the Atlas links the legitimate way in. Some of those links may pay the Atlas a commission. This page is the whole arrangement.
The disclosure, plainly
Some links on the Atlas are compensated partner links to legitimate tours, tickets, and stays. They are labeled at the point of use, every time. A commission never changes a warning, an access note, a source judgment, or whether a place belongs in the Atlas.
How a partner link looks
- It is labeled at the point of use with the words Partner link, Booking partner, or Affiliate link, followed by the line: Partner link. The Atlas may earn a commission.
- It carries the rel attribute sponsored, so search engines and assistive technology can identify it as compensated.
- It sits in its own section, below and apart from the official access and visitor-information links.
- It exists only when a real, signed relationship exists. The Atlas does not describe a link as a partner link otherwise.
What compensation never touches
Ranking. Category placement. Evidence classification. Access warnings. Editorial coverage. Route inclusion. Safety language. Whether a location receives criticism. Whether an official source is shown. Whether a place belongs in the Atlas at all.
What the Atlas will not invent
Partner relationships, discount codes, special rates, exclusive availability, ticket inventory, room availability, tour capacity, price guarantees, cancellation terms, or package deals.
Active partners
Active partner links right now: 0. Every booking link on the Atlas today is an official source, and no file carries a compensated link. When that changes, the link will be labeled here and on the file.
