The charter
Free forever. That is the whole model.
Every place, creature file, field note, warning, map layer, and route on this Atlas is free, and stays free. No accounts. No locked routes. No pack to buy at the trailhead.
Article I. Free forever
- All 66 field files in Volume 01, every note, every warning, every source.
- The full map in both modes, all 50 states, no meter.
- Every curated route, and every route that ships later.
- Future volumes land free, the same as this one. The model changes only if the owner says so in writing, here.
Article II. No accounts
- Nothing to sign up for, nothing to unlock, no email gate, no member wall.
- Your road file lives in your browser, not on our servers. Export it when you want a copy; import it on another device yourself.
- Saving a stop, opening directions, and reading a source never require registration.
Article III. Funded in the open
Some links on the Atlas are compensated partner links to legitimate tours, tickets, and stays. They are labeled at the point of use, every time. A commission never changes a warning, an access note, a source judgment, or whether a place belongs in the Atlas.
- Partner links to legitimate tours, tickets, and stays are the only revenue path.
- They are labeled at the point of use, every time, with the words partner link or booking partner.
- Official access links stay separate from compensated links on every file.
- Active partner links right now: 0. When a file has no partner, the file says so. See how partner links work.
What the Atlas will not add
Paid memberships. Premium tiers. Subscriber-only routes. Locked city guides. Paid map layers. Account requirements. Email gates. Free-trial language. Credits, tokens, or usage limits. In-app purchases. A paid mobile application. A forced newsletter. A registration wall before saving a stop or opening directions. Fake scarcity, donation pressure, or affiliate pop-ups.
Volume 02
Two free features are on the roadmap. Neither exists yet, and no launch date is promised. Nothing is behind a waitlist because there is no waitlist.
- Route Builder Planned
- Order your saved stops into a multi-day route with lawful public stops between them. Free when it ships. No launch date is promised.
- City guides Planned
- Guides for cities with enough sourced field files to be useful. Only where the catalog supports them. Free when they ship.
Save your stops now. The road file schema is versioned and migrated in place, so a road file saved today carries into whatever ships next.
